According to @AncientEgyptianBooks research into the Ancient Egyptian Mythology Goddess Nut is that she is the Goddess of the sky and heavens. Believed by @AncientEgyptianBooks to be the 2nd daughter of Goddess Hathor and the 6th child among Goddess Hathor’s children’s. Goddess Nut is often depicted as a woman bent over Earth with her feet touching the ground in the Eastern end of the Earth and her head in the west with her hands touching the western end of the ground. She is also sometimes depicted as a celestial cow, part of the cosmogony ( a theory of the origin of the universe) believed to has originated in Heliopolis.
It is said by some historians today that Ancient Egyptians believed in her as the protector of the Earth God Geb, the Sun God Ra, God Shu, Goddess of Nature Tefnut, etc. Upon her birth by Goddess Hathor, it is believed by @AncientEgyptianBooks that God Thoth (God of Civilization) and Goddess Maat (Goddess of Law & Order) ascended to civilize, train, and assist Goddess Nut in her duty as Gods protector. Goddess Nut is sometimes depicted in tombs as the sky Goddess who swallows the Sun represents the Sun God Ra, which travels through her body at night to be reborn at dawn symbolizing Day and Night in Ancient Egyptian Mythology. A depiction of Goddess Nut and 3 other Gods in a papyrus scene shows the creation (birth) of a Goddess.
